Duel by Flood Light
Mr. Beale is the new greenkeeper at the stadium of The Ballalloes. The grounds are so bad, he decides to lay a whole new pitch and is so protective of it, he will only let the team train in socks! But that is not the only prob lem they have. Alex has spent several games on the bench due to his bad attitude and poor performance. The team discover Alex’s secret and decide to do some thing to motivate him back into the team – a surprise floodlit birthday party at the stadium! But how can they do this under the watchful eye of Mr Beale?
Wouldn’t it be great to be in a successful band playing to sold-out venues in front of screaming and yelling fans? Leona, Ben, Eileen, Luke and Nick are five friends who share that very dream. Calling themselves ‘The Gnats’ they start along the road to rock’n’roll fame – which is often very bumpy!
First of all, The Gnats need to write a number of brilliant songs, so they are desperately looking for a rehearsal room. Annoyingly though, their arch-rivals, Krashkiddz, seem to be after just the same thing! With such bitter rivalry and the threat of revenge from whoever loses, who will get the room? And who will win the town band battle, the ultimate goal? Welcome to the wild world of The Gnats! This first exciting adventure of The Gnats is full of music and song!
Nick, Nellie and Tom are given a very special gift: a wooden playhouse built on stilts! On the very next day, they find the playhouse smeared with red goo. Needless to say, they want to know what the goo is and who would do such a thing. Grandad Rick suggests they save the red goo as evidence. And so, the kids and Phoebe find themselves in the middle of their first case.
Tracks of a Giant
The FoxPack investigates its second case! A giant has left his tracks behind at playschool. Why was he standing around in the sandpit? What was he doing there and most importantly – are there giants after all?!
