8 egg-citing Easter egg hunt ideas with tonies®

Easter egg charades hunt

Turn egg hunting into a theatre experience for the whole family! Instead of chocolate or little gifts, fill the eggs with fun charade prompts for the kids to act out when they’ve found their egg. This is a great one for older bunnies.

Winner-picks-the-Tonie Easter egg hunt

Who gets to choose a new Tonie to add to their collection? It’s only fair to let a little friendly competition decide! Fill the eggs with small goodies, except for one special egg that contains the special privilege of choosing a new Tonie. Talk about egg-citing motivation!

Virtual Easter egg hunt

Get family members from afar involved in the fun by giving each person a clue to read, hinting at the location of an egg. All they’ll have to do is send you their voice note and you can then upload them to the mytonies app to assign to the Creative-Tonie. Just watch as your kids hear the surprise of their loved ones on their Toniebox whilst they’re out egg hunting - that’s egg-stra special!

Indoor Easter egg scavenger hunt

Use the mytonies app to record some Easter egg hunt clues on their Creative-Tonie. Little bunnies then pop their Creative-Tonie on the Toniebox, listen to the clue and hop off to find the hidden eggs. Once they’ve found the goodies, they can pop it back on for clue number two… and the fun goes on!

Here’s some clues to get you started…

  • “Underneath where you lay your head, your clue can be found where you dream in your bed.”

  • “Your next clue is where things are kept cool, and where you might go to get a nice drink.”

  • “To find the next clue, you’ll need to look where you find your favourite story books.”

Counting Easter egg hunt

Add an educational twist by turning it into a counting game. Label each egg with a number and challenge your little ones to find them in numerical order. It’s a fun way to sneak in some learning while they hunt for those sweet treats.

Colour matching Easter egg hunt

This one is great for younger children to even the playing field. Instead of free for all, assign each child a colour and set them out on a mission to find each egg of that designated colour.

Glow in the dark Easter egg hunt

Use glow-in-the-dark paint or glow sticks to decorate the eggs and plant them around the garden for a nighttime egg hunt that older kids will love.

Creative-Tonie Easter egg hunt

Hop on over to the mytonies app to assign the Easter Egg Hunt Song to their Creative-Tonie. Hide some eggs around the house or garden and then pop the Creative-Tonie on their Toniebox. The catchy tune will have little egg hunters searching high and low. How many eggs can they find before the song finishes? The race is on!

We’d love to see your Easter celebrations and egg hunts using their Tonies. Tag us on Instagram at @tonies_uk. Happy hunting!

Amy’s favourite Tonie is Matilda. From a very young age, she was utterly obsessed with Matilda. She watched and read it so many times that she practically had the whole script memorised. As she grew older, she remained just like Matilda, a bookworm, a trickster, and a dreamer!
