Today with tonies Podcast - Data Protection Information Sheet

Thank you for your interest in the Today with tonies podcast. Protecting your and your child's privacy is very important to us. This notice explains how we handle your personal information:

1. Who is responsible for your data?

2. What information we collect and why

We collect and process the audio recording submitted by your child (the Contribution), as well as your contact details such as your name and email-address. We use this data for the following purposes:

• Editorial Selection and Production: To review and select messages for inclusion in the Today with tonies podcast.

• Publication: To broadcast the Contribution as part of the Today with tonies podcast.

• Legal Compliance and Safeguarding: To document your consent as a parent or guardian and ensure the safety of all participants.

3. Legal Basis

We process this data based on your explicit consent provided by signing the Contributor Form.

4. Sharing your data

Your data will be shared with our production partner Audio Always, White, Media City UK, Salford, England, M50 2NT, and other necessary production partners to create and distribute the podcast. Audio Always processes this information in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at: www.audioalways.com/privacy-notice.

If you gave your consent in the contribution form, the podcast episode featuring your voice message will also be broadcast on our Today with Tonies podcast in the United States.

5. How long we keep your data

Your personal information and the audio recordings will be stored for 3 years to produce, broadcast, and archive the podcast. If your submission is not selected for use, the data will be deleted in a timely manner, unless we are legally required to keep it. The contribution will be available for 14 days from the date of its first use in the podcast. After these 14 days have expired, no subscriber to the podcast will be able to access the specific episode.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Withdraw Consent: You can email us at any time and we will delete your child’s voice note and your contact details. This will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we did before you withdrew your consent.

• Access: The right to request a copy of the data we hold about you.

• Correction: The right to have inaccurate data corrected.

• Deletion: The right to request the deletion of your data where there is no overriding reason for us to keep it.

• Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with us and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection authority.

7. Voluntary Participation

Providing your data is entirely voluntary. However, we cannot include your child's voice note in the podcast without a signed Contributor Form and the necessary contact information. This Data Protection Information Sheet was last updated on April 21 st , 2026.
