Tonies® Blocks are officially sold exclusively in the US and have never been authorised for sale in the UK. Boxine UK Limited has become aware that the Blocks are being distributed through Amazon Marketplace by unauthorised sellers.

The recall is being initiated due to risk of magnet ingestion because tonies® has received one report in the US of the magnet detaching from a tonies® Block. No injuries have been reported.

When two or more high-powered magnets are swallowed, either intentionally by younger children or accidentally by older children, the ingested magnets can attract to each other, or to another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning and death.

No tonie figurines and no toniebox speakers are impacted by this recall. Your safety is our priority. We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused

How is tonies® conducting this recall?

We have stopped sale of the affected products in the US. We request all tonies® Blocks owners get in touch with us via our help centre or via email getintouch@tonies.com and tonies® will provide you with a free return label and send their Blocks back to tonies® immediately. After receiving your Blocks, we will issue a refund or credit note for the same value.

I received this product as a gift. Can I still return it?

Yes, please return your Blocks even if you did not purchase them. Please email getintouch@tonies.com and we will generate a return label for you. My product appears to be okay. Can I continue to use it?

No. Customers must stop using the product immediately and move it out of reach of children and pets. The Blocks must be returned to us as soon as possible.  

Please note that the affected Blocks have been deactivated and will not  work when placed on the Toniebox.

Are any other Tonies or Tonieboxes impacted?

No, this recall only impacts tonies® Blocks. No Tonie figurines or Tonieboxes are impacted.
